Terms
Terms of a stay.
These terms apply once Sand Terrace has confirmed a stay. A WhatsApp note, by itself, confirms nothing.
The house is Sand Terrace Ltd. (סאנד טרס בע״מ), company 516284734, 10 HaZayit Street, Even Yehuda 4050256. The law of the State of Israel governs a stay. A claim is brought in the Magistrate’s Court in Netanya. If the sum or the subject is outside that court’s authority, it is brought in the Central District Court in Lod. This sentence does not close a court the law keeps open to you, including the small-claims sitting of the Magistrate’s Court in Netanya.
The Standard Contracts Law, 5743-1982, applies to these terms. A line here that the law would treat as an unfair term is to be read down to what the law allows. We do not ask you to waive a liability that cannot legally be waived.
When a stay exists
A request on the website, or a WhatsApp message, does not hold a room and does not create a charge. A stay exists when we reply that we can take that animal on those dates, and you accept. If the house is full, if the trial day did not go well, or if the vaccine booklet is not in date, we do not confirm, or we withdraw a confirmation before the animal has been checked in. Money paid for nights that will not happen is returned.
Check-in is Sunday to Thursday 10:00–18:00 and Friday 10:00–13:00. Collection is Sunday to Thursday 10:00–11:00 and Friday 10:00–12:00. Saturday, and the first and seventh days of Passover, are quiet at the desk. The animals already here are cared for. We do not check in and we do not hand an animal back. In 2026 the Passover quiet days are 2 April and 8 April.
One animal occupies one room. About eight dogs and six cats is the capacity, counting animals already here. Dogs and cats are not housed together. A first overnight stay requires a trial day at the day rate.
Cancellation
Until we have confirmed and you have paid, there is nothing to refund. After that, the ladder is as follows. Days are counted back from the arrival date.
Ordinary nights:
- 21 days or more before arrival: everything paid toward the stay is returned.
- 14 to 20 days: we keep the first night at the published rate and return the rest.
- 7 to 13 days: we keep half of the published stay and return the other half.
- Fewer than 7 days, or once the stay has started: the published stay is due.
Passover nights and nights in August follow a shorter ladder, because those dates are the ones the house turns other guests away for:
- 30 days or more before arrival: everything paid toward those nights is returned.
- Inside 30 days: those nights are due, including the quarter added to the ordinary rate.
A stay with both kinds of night is split. Holiday nights follow the holiday ladder. Ordinary nights follow the ordinary ladder. In 2026 the Passover nights are 1–8 April. August is the whole month, every year.
A day visit or a trial day can be cancelled by 16:00 the day before, and the day rate is not due. Later than that, the day rate is due.
If the booklet is not in date when you arrive, we do not check the animal in, and the late line of the ladder applies, because the condition of the stay was not met. If we cancel for our own reasons after confirming, everything paid for the stay is returned. Refunds are in shekels, by the method you paid, within 14 days.
Between animals
Dogs may share the courtyard in groups of two or three, with a person there. Cats stay in their rooms and are not put with dogs. Animals can still startle one another at a doorway or on a walk. A scratch or a fright, by itself, is not proof that the house was careless.
Israeli law already decides who pays when an animal causes damage. These terms do not rewrite that. If your animal injures another guest, a person, or the house, you remain responsible to the extent the law says an owner is responsible. The house is responsible for harm caused by our own negligence. We are not an insurer of the stay.
If you need your dog kept entirely apart from other dogs, say so in the request. If we cannot offer that in a house of this size, we will not confirm the stay.
Belongings
Bring the food, in packs with the animal’s name on them, a collar or harness, and if you wish one cloth from home. Do not bring money, jewellery, or anything you cannot afford to lose. We note what you hand to the desk. We are not liable for ordinary wear, or for an item that was not handed in and noted, except where the loss was caused by our negligence.
VAT and the invoice
Published rates include value added tax at 18 percent, under the Value Added Tax Law, 5736-1975, at the rate in force for 2026. The VAT inside each published figure is stated on the suites and day pages. We issue a tax invoice for sums received. The website does not take payment. How to pay is said in the confirmation, not in the request form.
